I am one with toxic riddled air
to the point where I feel I'm its cause

I see you struggling for clarity
and I'm left with a sense of helpless arrest,
staring back in a mirror
wondering how I can help

if I could,
I would shift our perceptions of this polluted reality
but I'm afriad Im no better than the filthiest factory smog
and the disfigured victims who receive the world's pity

smiles roll in and frowns roll out,
while I portray that balanced conveyor of potential change
I break down when downtime keeps a smile on your face
while beneath I see your stockmarket plummet

I promise you there lies more than this particle filled sky and concrete land
but if you enter that exit I will not blame you

it has also been the object of my dreams since the day I was born
but I know theres something here for us to see,
something beyond the air we breath,
waiting for the instant when a certain winter chill
brings us a most comforting summer warmth

as for now I love the toxic that rolls through our veins
for the child it conceives before we reach that door
will be greater than the sum of all our faults

we are the collective child who sees our worst
so that we may become our best
and you are but its fragment....

perfection in all your imperfections
and you are loved regardless [comments] => 3 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 43 [informant] => espeeayzee [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
