A smoky haze
filled the room
Smell of incense
kills the gloom
Music playing
gentle and slow
Relaxing...supine
Watching the candles glow
Shadows fall
on walls of green
Unimaginable images
in my scene
Peering through aged eyes
Wisps of herbal clouds
waft on by
Dreaming whilst wide awake
Smile...Inhale
Deep breath I take
Leave me in my place
My nest...
All alone
I'll take my rest

OH MAN! Sis, you got me in desperate need of some, incense, candles,
soft music, cool breezes and ME TIME!!! lol Damn, this was awesome!

Reading this was, to me, as relaxing as being right there with you ..
eyes closed, breathing in, mind cleared ... wow. I love this!!

Sounds like a fabulous idea....enter the peace of my mind and think about calmer and more peaceful things in life. I'm lightening up the candles and incense.....wonderful piece with perfect timing for this worn down soul.

Dierks Bently sings a song called "I'd settle for a slow down" ... of course he sings it to a woman ... I'd just as soon have it for myself. I would light some incence ... get called away and by the time I returned to enjoy a quiet moment ... I'd need to light more. (Lately anyway)

Well penned, you lil' Dead Header you !!! I hope you find your peaceful place more often.

Nazzy ~

Om mane poetry om... a most relaxing read. And those herbal clouds - just incense, hmmm?
This one had me breathing deeply and settling into a meditation pose without even consciously thinking about it. We all need our pockets of zen.

Peace, sister.

S.

This was very nice. I live with incense, candles and non-stop music(or as my youngest son claims:"hippie-junk"). I can appreciate the setting and the 'atmosphere'! Good read, this.
thanks for sharing...
