midnight claims the sky
and i wish i was the moon tonight,

bestowed in a halo of glittering starlight,
moving across the sparkling black sea
sleeping beneath me,

pouring between the ghostlike trees,
in a golden stream,
to warm the bittercold night,

a beacon of light on the deer's path
as they venture out past darkness,

watching over the hopeless romantics
that wait for slumber to embrace their emptiness,

to gather their hearts and wishes,
transform their tears and fears,and
return to them the faith and love,
that they surrender nightly in dreams,

for just one night,
to give freely, that which i seek,
without hesitation, fear, or doubt,

for the whole world below
to resonate in my love

Awwwww!!!!!! This was the best poem I've read today! So sweet and loving! Full of emotions mostly love and care. Such a loving description of the moon and your emotions, such good will!! I'm really impressed and the "to resonate in my love" piece was truely a master piece!!! :)
