[title] => The Journey of Lady Spirit
[time] => 2007-07-24 09:35:42
[hometext] => A peom of Spirituality
[bodytext] => She that whispered the wind in the woods, And resided within the essence of the eagle, She that hauls the moon across the mountain peaks, And she that ignites the flames of the warrior, Painting stars at night, And clouds at dawn, They caught her within circles of fire and stone, And dressed her in the animal skins of pagan past, Sacrificing herself, For the salvation of her captors, Loving them as sister and brother, They burnt away her pagan skins Tenderly dressing her in white, Yet they fought for her love, And feuded with their neighbours, Until they became blind to her potential, Crusading for their fortune, Devoted to their pleasures, And fanatical for their treasures, They confessed, They wanted more, Yet the scientific vision, Out of chimney stack, Rose up, And struggled to renew, Lady Liberty, Swathed in envious green, Gazed coldly as you walked in the darkness, Yet she stole your torch, To enlighten the mind of man, For a more profitable future, And left you to dwell beneath red flags, And crooked crosses, Lady Spirit, We now weave up high through nimbus and cirrus, The eagle below us, we see in contempt, And the stars above us Concealed and lost, The deforested landscape, And the rivers of oil and blood that we fly over, Are Alight, Ignited by mans own ravenous zeal, But, Your clothes rot away, Until you stand naked, You show your true form, And it is beautiful.
