Array ( [sid] => 13606 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => A Day Apart [time] => 2003-03-02 03:00:00 [hometext] => My son says "That when you see the rays from the sun shining down and they're in all directions its because God has to pick up people everyday when they die, and if you look closely you might just see an angel waiting for them"
I thought I'd share that with you because those are thoughts from Nathan,
its part of his way of letting me know everything is okay ......,
In memory of Edward Collins (March 1, 2001)
Ailie Pearson (March 2, 2001)
[bodytext] => I don't know who I cried for more,
the both of you so full of life,
a day apart though, I just don't understand sometimes,
how the cloud of death,
leaves nothing but oozing cries,
sometimes its seems so unreal,
and at times I've hoped it was only a bad dream,
but it is real,
all these sorrows, in such a short time,
you both died exactly a day apart,
same time and all,
exactly the same time,
nine twenty one in the morning,
I wonder what God was thinking at times,
he now has two angels,
I know thats what I saw, when I looked at you, both,
and those smiles,
they've never been forgotten,
thats something I'll always have,
within my heart,
thats probably what keeps me going,
you left a great song for us,
lovely memories, and a trail of hope,
I always see you,
your pictures are framed in my heart,
and as this second year goes by without the both of you,
I have so much to be thankful for,
knowing you in life,
was a great cherished gift,
a treasure of dignity,
thats how beautiful you both were,
until we meet,
I'll keep watching the rays,
that glow from the sun,
its the road to heaven,
I know that,
because its real,
just like the love we had,
seven more days to go,
seven more smiles,
seven more miles,
the pack we had,
you both are sooo ..... loved,
its something that burns inside me,
..... two love ones gone,
and I still feel lost!

You are so lucky to have Nathan to help you through this difficult time with his beautiful way of looking at life ... this is such an emotional poem - words are really hard to come by when such heartache is expressed ... I'm so sorry for your loss ... Jan

Sometimes words are so inadequate, at least mine are. So frustrating to be able to use words to express my feelings on most everything and yet when I search for real words of comfort, of substance to help a friend they seem so hollow and vain.

As all have said before me- They are watching over you. We all care. God give you comfort maam.

To read your poems allows a very indepth look at your life, and my God, you are one STRONG woman! I wish nothing but the best for you.
I hope you continue to write & post, as your words are beautiful and stirring.
Nathan has a very unique outlook on life. I think he has a lot to teach us :)
Take care and God bless!

You are indeed a remarkable person Val, the more I read of your life in your formidable
poems (beautiful too but with great inner fortitude), the more I realise what a fortunate life I've had.

Bob

I haven't heard such a touching poem like this in a long time. Sorry for the losses. I had also lost someone dear to my heart, who is my mother, I didn't know how to really talk about it so I wrote her a poem. Take Care you will make it! Think of it This way, you now have 2 more Guardian angel's to protect you in life!!!

Dear Valerie, although you say it was two years ago, I wish you my condolences. I still occassionally have tears for my father who died in 1974. I want to tell you that in a way you are fortunate although you've had tragedy to deal with, because, it seems to me that you understand something that some of us don't. You fully live life and know what is of value. Friend Bizzy
