I Know What It Is To Love Now . . . Ben

Contributed by myheartsvoice on Sunday, 15th July 2007 @ 10:20:07 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I know what it is to love now

i've gone all the way with

you,

commiting myself to your destiny

is what i was born to

do.

I know what is to love now

i wear your experience,

marrying you was more than a vow

i've never been happier

since.

Love has to be more than dreaming

for dreaming can lead

to heart break,

with you i was sure what we had would endure

my heart knew you were no

mistake.

I know what it is to love now

to see it

from your point of

view,

to look in your eyes and now realize

i'm in love with the person in

you.

For better or worse was what i said

the moment i said i love'd

you,

no need to rehearse what was in my head

my heart knew it all to be

true.

I know what it is to love now

i've been to that place

called

you,

i now can believe in angels

for you've shown me what one can

do.

Ben

How many ways doth Benny love Joan...?

Huh, either I'm mathematically challenged

This is a Love unquantifiable by mere mortals!*wink*

Lovely write, Ben. The repetition of "I know what it is to love now" is really very touching here. There is a... knowing... that accompanies love - and it is at once undeniable and overwhelming. This piece sings of that.

I saw Kerry's comment and thought of the movie..Benny and Joon with Johnny Depp. Ahhh those two had quite the love affair going...two people who needed each other. Who stuck with each other no matter what and lived with all their idiosyncrasies.
I love your love story Ben, yours and Joan's...it is beautiful, real and gone through tests of time. You give me some awesome strength my friend. I think of you often these days and your wise words. Thanks for sharing...pieces of you, my brother.

Much peace, love and hugs,
Laura
