Sweetness hasn’t often graced my soul
Nor are angels common to my eye,
Stars have not adorned my night
Nor has the sun shone in my sky.
My muse has never held my hand
Nor was there ever one to try
To heal my weeping frigid heart

I agree the sadness is there...but put so gently and smooth with flow of words.
It does reflect the lose of magic that love creates in hearts.
I can only hope for that magic to be ignited again soon.
