through my soul,
they posses even
a deadlier role.

The waters churn
and the waters rise,
masking the tears
formed in my eyes.

The waters carve
their own separate path,
i see the death
i feel the wrath.

In the water
is a trail of pain,
that red river
is a deathly stain.

No matter how i try
i can not break free,
I try my best
I desperately plee.

I'm drowning in
the words of hate,
My soul tugs the line
Its going for the bait.

The river is of evil
you get swept up in the waves,
just to discover
it's the human ways. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 173 [topic] => 13 [informant] => auura [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Good word usage and good rhyming....it had me reading right along. I really liked what you had to say in the last stanza. Well done.
Peace,
Laura
