There you stood above the rest

majesticaly devine,

you must have heard my hearts request

wishing you were

mine.

And to this day

it's still that way my heart with you i share,

your beauty brought me to you but

love's

what kept me

there.

"Tis said that looks aren't everything

if one's heart isn't true,

i guess that i was meant to have

my cake and eat it

to.

In you i saw tomorrow

before it even came, you took away my sorrow

and then my heart and

name.

Yes there you stood above the rest

the farest of the fare,

your beauty brought me to you

but love's what kept me

there.

A message from a heart that once I knew...these words echo the could have been and should have been of my life. Strange that your love poem should remind me of a time when being loved by another.....just wasn't enough at that time...my memories...triggered by your writing. Excellent write as always.
