On her rear she wore a K
A cowboy most sadistic
Claimed her for his own that day

But the lady was not cattle
She would not take it easy
When she was done with him
It made the Sheriff’s men queasy

The Sheriff was an upright man
He had to do his job
But still deep down he felt
Justice from her was robbed

As the days went by
Awaiting her trial
Her beauty and spirit
Impressed him all the while

Through the eyes of justice
She was a murderess
But her true inner beauty
The Sheriff could not miss

The date was set
The gallous built
The noose was tied
Where was she to fill it?

Lady K was on mountains ridge
With her old West white knight
The sparks from their lovemaking
Lit up the desert nights

Legend has it to this day
If you look toward mountain high
You can see the circle K
Blazoned across the sky

Ooooo the pain of the arse brand. OUCH. Great write, I am glad she didn't hang at the gallows. Lady K sounds like a woman with spunk.
Cool write, Shari...

Peace and hugs,
Laura
