A wound still cutting from far inside
Nothing to cause this deep rooted pain
But the memory that it's still in vain
Years have gone by without speaking a word
Not one single thing from him I've heard
So how can he still have an effect on me
For years, his face, I've not even seen
Although he still haunts my dreams
Reminding me nothing's as it seems
And deep inside I still love him
As the past fades away, becoming dim
The memories are fuzzy, his face still clear
I wonder if he knows he'll always be near
But I guess it doesn't matter, he'll never know the truth
About how what we had, I still hold onto
And maybe it's meant to be that way
Am I in his thoughts everyday? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 291 [topic] => 24 [informant] => cuttersangel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )

this is a very powerful sad piece of poetry.. very heart felt. you can feel the pain in this. I too have felt this way in my past but i over came it.. its time to let him go. you will find someone who gives you the love you deserve.

Good job

Good write. You could feel the longing and the aching in the heart. I liked how you ended the piece with that powerful question...

"Am I in his thoughts everyday?"

Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
Laura
