Why

Contributed by Shyness on Tuesday, 26th June 2007 @ 12:26:47 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Why is there so much pain in the world today,
It tests us and challenges us to find a way,
A way to pull through know matter the pain,
To help us to chanel to lessen the strain,
When is it we finally get to rest for a bit,
To have a day were we find a place we fit,

Why is it that pain is inevitable,
Rich, poor, controlled, or unstable,
Everyone has a horror story,
Days we feel for our sleves sorry,
When we feel that horrible sting,
We think of the good times things bring,

Why is there so much pain in this world now,
We all want to know why or explain how,
We help others when we cant help ourselves,
We can write it down and put the books on our shelves,
And what if we can’t find the strength to move on,
What happens when we can’t look ahead and see the dawn,

Why is it some are given more then they can take,
You find yourself with a fork when you need a rake,
What if you take 1 more hit then you can handle,
What if you need light but can’t even find a candle,
What happens when you’re your own worst enemy,
What do you do next when all you wanna say is kill me.

There are some questions for each of us that need answers we don't have.I think you summed it up pretty well in what you are saying here.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
