pressed upon my soul
we share a love
where evil cannot go

smiles that fill my soul with delight
laughter that puts my aches to rest
Giggle Boxes
little explorers
little ones

untainted by the world just yet
how I'd love to keep you so
Giggle boxes
sly little foxes
funny little toes

Bumble Bees
and tickle bugs
butterfly kisses
and angel hugs
silly faces
snuggle bunnies
tender hearts
and little funnies

sweet innocents'
my little ones
I will hold you while I can
and be your loving mother~

you are my little children
and I will keep you in my wing
until you must fly away~

Then I will smile-so proud
for you are my little children
and no matter the roads you travel
I will hold you in my heart
and ALWAYS be so proud~

because I will always be your mother
no matter what you do
mistakes are meant to be made
it's all part of being you~

No matter where the road takes us~
I want you to always know
you will always be my Giggle Boxes
and I will ALWAYS love you~ [comments] => 5 [counter] => 216 [topic] => 23 [informant] => Tot [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

WOW! Something different from the Tot! I loved the flow and the brilliant use of innocent imagery. A fantastic completely adorable and enjoying write. One for your children, who should love this. A mother's love shines in each line. Such a tremendous job all around. I really loved stanza number eight. Though the entire work was brilliant and magnificent. To call a child a giggle box, well that's just about the most damn poetic thing I have ever heard when describing the innocence of a little one.

WONDERFUL!

The Ghost Alarms giggle simultaneously in honour of your innocent poem. Yet our giggles are not so innocent. We are also butchering dolls and cutting off their heads while giggling. This in honour of another poem we read earlier. This poem made us feel guilty because we are doing the opposite of innocent. Yet this is who we are. We take time to stop and reflect (in unison) on your poem. As we sit at our desks in our robes we realize that even The Ghost Alarms were once children. We remember being little ones wearing little robes and burning wings off of flying things, like bats. We remember that when we were young the darkness then was not so dark. Not as dark then as now. You a lady of slender darkness and disgruntling horror stories have been able to recapture your innocents in your innocents. This is something we see and agree in unison that you have escaped the darkness well on this day with such a poem. Yet we know there will be a revisiting of darkness and there we will be waiting in the shadows, casting dark shadows of our own over you. Those shadows will be large darkness for we are many!

May your children wake up and tell you the boogey man is in their closet and you go look to see they are right. Boogey men do exist and they are many as well. Boo!.....The Ghost Alarms

Oh wow! Oh WOW!! Kandice, this was bloody brilliant!!

DAMN! This evoked a tear, my dear poet. I am SO in
love with this write. (I want to take it home for my very own! lol)

It is always so glorious to see a mother's love splashed
across the faces of her children, and in your poetic way, you
have shared that feeling with us here and now. I thank you
for that. I was reminded of my own darlings ... lol
(they really are ... even when being a pain in the butt! lol)

But, my oh my, you have done something TREMENDOUS
here! I can't rememeber the last time I read something that
made me feel like laughing and crying all at once. I adore this.
Truly adore it!

~Roxanne
(laughing and crying...)
