I carved her my good-bye
kiss on her trembling lips
as stampede of folks far from my hamlet drew
near with yelling fury that ripped the sky to cry.

Here I’m, held as a prisoner
arraigned with harsh crime
of being in love;
folks I dwell Among forbid emotions
of love to be showered upon her, she who
dwells among a creed different to
my fellow folks.

My body torn naked with out love
lay blended in crimson slime yet my heart
throbbed for my love, moaning beyond those
pale folds of Pinnacles that echoed her
poignant love song.

My battered hands held my love’s
scarf filled with her fragrance
dearly closed to my sinking heart
painfully gasping for one last
breath - through the fogged vision
I saw my love gracefully glide towards my
plummeting life to merge within.

The term “Love” perhaps blissful and divine
in every scripture, if true - why love sheds bloody tears
of pain caused by creed and color?

Holy wow, Franco! What a write!
So emotional! So painful! So moving!

There is a sadness in this write that moves me to outrage.
This world we live in is FAR too big for such small minded
notions .. and yet, we deal with the prejudices of kinfolk
everyday. Not just townsmen, but from our very own families.
It's a sad world when we, who are so interconnected, lose
that sense of connection. It matters not what we call ourselves,
based on small divisionary cultures ... we are all EARTHLINGS.
We bleed, we fight, we LOVE! Cut us open and there isn't
an ounce of difference between us!

Love is such a tremendous emotion. It breaks barrriers methinks.
And that's just the way it was intended! : )

Lovely write. OBVIOUSLY very thought provoking.

~Breezy

The Ghost Alarms bow in unison! We adore this work of art. It is tragic and screams with poetic emotion. This is the ability to make a reader want to wrap themselves in a poem for a time and experience it from every possible imagination. Your words are completely amazing and the story is stunning especially stanza three. As we sit at our desks looking into the words you have displayed pulling at our robes to disregard the chill we simultaneously felt reading this, we feel it is necessary to call you a poet! Yes all that are here are poets but to be called a poet by many this is a high honor indeed. You are a poet and this is true and high for we are many!

Screams from the corners of nothing to haunt you....The Ghost Alarms

Excellent question, this...

"The term “Love” perhaps blissful and divine
in every scripture, if true - why love sheds bloody tears
of pain caused by creed and color?" ~you

& I've yet to hear a satisfactory answer!

Outstanding, once again.

Such anguish of the soul here, it is heartwrenching.
People can be so narrow-minded and it causes devastation, both personal as shown here and on a wider scale.
At the very least, dear Franco take courage in that you are not like this and it takes people like you to change others.

Take care,
Dom
