Gonna be a cowboy,
ride a big horse
wear six-guns and a hat, of course;
break my back in endless toil
dried up bones in desert soi - Whoa!

Gonna be a big star,
stage and screen
more charisma than ever been seen;
finish my days drugged and hazy
surrounded by cats, fat and laz - Cut!

Gonna be President
of the whooole world
adored by crowds, flag unfurled,
last days in a bunker, on the run
mob at the door as I eat my gu - Click!

Gonna be me,
whoever that is
no cardboard version of someone else;
spend my life doing all kinda things
that’s how I’m gonna earn my - Wings!

S,

this was fun and inspirational. I got caught up in the beat,
but the message is what I really love about this ..
how perfectly titled as well. There is always a deep
wisdom inside each of your writes, clever poet.

(The picture is gorgeous and adds to the 'wings' theme)

soaring high ~
