I am trapped in the strata
of the subversive mind
Layer upon layer
deaf, dumb and blind
Sinking only deeper
no freedom in sight
Depression as emotion
succumbs to the blight
And at the bottom- nothing
Where is the end?
Lost sad and lonely
No God and no friend

This captures the inside of depression very well. It is so difficult for those who have been fortunate never to have had the experience to understand. I believe with these words you will awaken compassion for those who go through this. Excellent and blessings to you.
