wonder's wonder
scrambling and fighting
throughout my slumber

In dreams
only true
my heart believes
in something a little more blue

all the colours
deepen to something less
and my dream
I think finds
another place

wandering in my wander
I cannot escape my slumber
not running
or screaming
can ever awaken me
I fear this dream
my reality

only in dreams
is the colour
more blue
and the shades of my mind
create another hue

in my wonder
I can imagine so pretty
a woeless world
one without pity

only in dreams
do I want to stay
in a world
my mind creates

the subconcious mind
underestimated
undefined
dreams abide there
with many others
who we really are
lies somewhere
in the cobwebs

for we truly are
so much less of what we show
and so much more of what we
cripple inside of ourselves

so dream a little more
and grieve a little less
imagine a greater world
with no emptiness

Kandice, that last stanza holds so much light, and wisdom, and
beauty!! I can't begin to tell you how perfect I think it to be! Dreaming ..
yes, without dreams we would not be where we are today .. dreaming
brings ideas to light; makes musings real; motivates our desires;
it has this power to enlighten us without us ever knowing ...

but .. yes .. when we release more of what we dream, the
"crippling" happens less and we are free. Free to be and
live as we truly are. Wow. What a profound and insightful
write!! I am impressed with the musings you've brought
forth in such a poetic way. Love this one.
