I crave the solace of deep dreamless peace.
My body yearns for rest.
Hate me, blame me, abuse me,

Let me shut out the world,
Banish my thoughts,
And be healed.

Sleep lingers on the periphery of my consciousness,
Watching passively as another part of me fractures.
I cannot tempt him to take me.
Unmoved,
He will not consume me.

Please possess me.
Jealously take me,
And grant me peace.

Mutinous mind,
You undermine yourself.
You will destroy me.
I beg of you, please let me sleep.

Please let me sleep.

i can definitly relate to
the desperation to be restful,
if only for one night!
the struggle to beat the night lies with me also. but then again somebody has to be up all night to think these thoughts, it might as well be me.
