Two worlds apart,
Words lost among the silence,
but I still hear your laughter and feel the emptiness of your absence.
Whenever I see you it takes me away, to another time and place,
Where everything that happens, happens for a reason,
And everyday can be expected,
Something out of the ordinary, something special.
Whenever I see your face.

I miss you,
And I wish you,
could be with me again.
And I know it will be like old times,
When I see you again.

Its been a few years,
Time glides by.
Seems like an eternity since we last seen each other,
But at the same time,
Only a blink of an eye.

Sho’nuff, we go together like fries and a shake.
Me,
you’re baked potato,
and You,
my t-bone steak.
Mmn!
And you know I love ya like a fat kid loves cake.

I need you like food.
You feel so good,
Like a marijuana cigarette and a reggae beat.
So much left unfinished…
Someday I will be complete…
When I see you again.

Kindred hearts,
Two worlds apart,
Words lost among the silence,

This was too sweet. I like how you wrote this. I had to smile when I got to the fourth stanza, I like the light-hearted twist you put on it at the end. Clever little write, and you sound like a friend to treasure.

This was good. I liked the ending too.. It was full of love and friendship and adding the little bit of humor in this did make me smile. Well done.

I really like this poem. In the beginning it sounds all nice and sweet then the ending (which i really love) is all about food. Kudos to that, very good poem:)

There were parts of this that made me sigh, made me cry, (with
nostagia) and made me laugh. WOW. I don't remember the last
time a poem did all that. Well done, Mike. This write was like
a friendly warm hug. Beautiful and fun. : )
