Come follow Alice down the rabbit-hole,
and find out what the sweet lass stole
hearts and minds and precious things,
and silly thoughts on griphyon’s wings.

Come trace her steps along the path,
and revel in the aftermath
of all the little vixen’s deeds,
chaos springing up like weeds

How’d she ever get so big?
only swilling like a pig;
why then is she now so small—
you mean so little, after all

Alice, my sweet ingenue,
life parodies art, that’s true
this fickle world can be so crass,
keep dreaming through the looking glass.

Spike,
This was cool. I love how you used Alice. Your metaphorical use was splendid! A bit of lovely sarcasm. Nicely penned.
Peace, Laura

As long as there is a breath left in them ... they'll be made to regret it.
(Incidentally, female celebs aren't the only targets .. but that's
neither here nor there)

humans! Who needs em, right? lol We just LOVE to see those we
envy, suffer! 'Tis a sad truth ... I really detest the damn trash mags
that line the checkouts in the super markets. And it boils my blood
that there exist those who actually BELIEVE all that garbage!

Loved the write, man. I, too loved how you used Alice. (One
of my favourite stories)

peace, S.

can't quite place what i loved so much about it but the rhyme and meter was great, and so were the words. fabulous imagery. you took this old idea and turned it inot something totally your own. great, as usual.

xXx
