Take in the fact that life isn’t fair
As you sit alone, drowning in your despair
You wonder if anyone ever did care

Breathing in the night cold air
Wondering if anyone would be there
When you fall into the deep depths of tragedy
Would anyone be aware
If you ever left this town
Without a trace, not making a sound
Can you ever be found?

And the thought of love pulls you down further
Will you ever live a happily ever after?
Will you ever stand at the alter?
Will you achieve receiving love from the one you love?
Because all you feel is the harsh shove
As you feel yourself distancing from the one you’ve fallen for
Oh how your heart has grown sore

You tell yourself to take a detour
And think about all the things you ever lived for
Is it worth it?

…….Maybe so….

I love a piece that stirs both emotion and thought, and this
write did not let me down! There is so much in here to ponder
and a lot of questions we, as poets, beat ourselves to death
with. The last line before, ...Maybe so.... holds so much power!
The consequence of actions, whether they be from someone
we care about, or our own, sometimes do little to deter our
movement. BUT, that damned hindsight is always 20/20.
And it is incessant! We could rip our hearts out with the "what ifs" and "whys".

Great post. Very thought provoking.

This Poem make me really ponder about life. Sometimes I have asked myself, Will I ever find happily ever after and does my live have value to any one else.
