Array ( [sid] => 134795 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => not sure what to call this. [time] => 2007-05-30 04:32:56 [hometext] => this was written when my mom was had an alcohol problem and i had a problem with that, but she doesn't anymore and we're back to normal again. =]. [bodytext] => so we'll lie here all night washing the night away
we'll lie here until the memories of the hard times shatter
they'll shatter into a thousand peices, like the times when
our mothers drank like the alcoholics they were
and the times we wished we had a family that
could be loved for all it was worth, the conventional family.
the family that would never let you down, there wouldnt be the alcoholics,
the argueing, the crying, god, not the crying.

EVERY NIGHT SHE CAME HOME
WE ARGUED, AND WE ARGUED BECAUSE OF HER
WE ARGUED BECAUSE WE KNEW THAT SHE
COULD DO BETTER, AND WE WERE FORCING HER
TO DO SO. WE DIDN'T WANT TO LOSE HER.
WE NEVER WANTED TO LOSE HER.
BUT SHE'S LOST HERSELF, SHE'S LOST HERSELF
BECAUSE OF WHAT SHE'S DONE.

"you don't think that bothers me, yeah it does"
Forget Your excuses, you're just like the
rest of us who are unfortunately placed in the
wrong homes. maybe we aren't perfect enough
for you, and maybe we aren't worth your time
maybe we aren't able to be good, to be good enough
for you to stop drinking all the time.
you're not good enough for yourself,
so before you go critcizing everybody else,
take a look at yourself and make sure ur hands are clean.
and as you look and try to wash off all the mistakes you've
made along the way, make sure u wash off that one right there.
the time when you started drinking uncontrollably, wash that
one away, and maybe we can be a family again someday.

EVERY NIGHT SHE CAME HOME
WE ARGUED, AND WE ARGUED BECAUSE OF HER
WE ARGUED BECAUSE WE KNEW THAT SHE
COULD DO BETTER, AND WE WERE FORCING HER
TO DO SO. WE DIDN'T WANT TO LOSE HER.
WE NEVER WANTED TO LOSE HER.
BUT SHE'S LOST HERSELF, SHE'S LOST HERSELF
BECAUSE OF WHAT SHE'S DONE.

you're not worth the pain and heartache.
so i'll grow cold, i'll grow cold.. just like you.
i'll grow immune to the world, and hide in my shell
but i will never do what you have done, and this
i promise you. i'll never abandon my children
when they need me most, and i'll never leave
them at home all alone to struggle. i'll never
leave them with food off of the shelves, and i'll never
leave my boyfriend who drinks incessantly
home alone with them. better yet, i'll never
have a boyfriend who drinks incessantly.
i won't even drink because you've ruined it
for me. i guess that's one positive thing you've done
for me. you taught me not to drink, and that's good.......
..........right?

EVERY NIGHT SHE CAME HOME
WE ARGUED, AND WE ARGUED BECAUSE OF HER
WE ARGUED BECAUSE WE KNEW THAT SHE
COULD DO BETTER, AND WE WERE FORCING HER
TO DO SO. WE DIDN'T WANT TO LOSE HER.
WE NEVER WANTED TO LOSE HER.
BUT SHE'S LOST HERSELF, SHE'S LOST HERSELF
BECAUSE OF WHAT SHE'S DONE.

hey, this is me (Crystalcan)..
i know the poem sounds mean towards my mother, but it was written at a time when i had a lot of frustration towards her, and the things she did. Sorry if it offends anyone. It was my emotions then, not now.
