I really like the way this turns out, but I want to see if I'm the only one who gets it! Thank You! [bodytext] => Crushes are like a camp fire.
They are started by a simple spark.
But whether they survive,
depends on wether you feed,
or abandon it.
Wether you think you need it or not.
Many children think this is what they need.
They feed it, it grows.
It becomes the only thing they see.
They live for this fire, as it grows, and grows.
And it consumes them.
And they can never recover.
But some let it be, and it simply glows.
Warm, and comforting, but not essential.
It can go out on it's own, adn once it's gone
it's something of the past.
I cannot hurt you, because you dont feed it.
You know it can burn you, and
though you dont abandon it totally,
you let it be.

If it's true love, it will grow.
Becoming glorious, dancing and alive.
But be aware. If it's not,
its addicting. It will burn you.
Killing your heart.
Your will to burn.
So crushes shouldn't called "crushes."
They should be called burns.
Cause' that's what they do.
Be awar of love let it grow,
but consume you
or anyone. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 21 [informant] => untitled [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Let me get this out the way first: "Only you can prevent forrest fires"

Beautiful poem...seems as though its actually talking to me as if i was standing right infront of the flames right now. Its not confusing at all...its straight foward and i like your metaphores. I just hope that your fire didnt burn down the forrest...
