[hometext] => I haven't written in a long time, so I'm rusty, but today has been an extremely hard, pain filled day, and so, here is a poem....
[bodytext] => God let me forget.
Every single sweet word spoken,
let me lose them in the rain,
may the wind and howling storm,
rush the memories away,
and toss them in to raging sea...
Then let the waves crash over me...
Drown me in this sea of sorrow,
'Cause I no longer wish to live,
to see the beauty of tomorrow,
or know the warmth love used to give,
then have it fade before my eyes,
And mourn it with heartbroken cries.
God let me forget
And sink below the violent swells,
to tear away the pain of feeling,
and awful thoughts on which I dwell,
oh God can you hear my screaming?
back out to the angry sea,
...Please let the storm crash over me.

God let me forget.

Oh wow hun!! I LOVE your addition to this ... so much pain and anguish.
I have been akin to this emotion, sweets, (more recently than
I'd like to admit), and to lose one's self in the sea ... never to feel ...
never to breathe ... never to hurt again! There is a certain sweet,
albeit sad, pleasure in that.
I am so happy to see a new write by you, (though I wish it
were a little happier). Still, I know that if you are pouring this
pain onto the page, it has less chance of engulfing your
heart and darkening your world. Beautifully written, hun.
You still got it!! :) There are but a few who can exact this kind
of emotion from me. You are one such poet! Your word choices,
line breaks and imagery, as always was exceptional!!

Phil...this was heart wrenching to read, but written so very elegantly. Right now, more than ever, I know exactly what you are feeling(well maybe not exactly but I can relate). (I feel we're swimming in the same damn sea). I have been so close to letting that storm crash over me. It does seem so easy sometimes to step out, to stop the hurt and the pain forever. I've managed to hang in there so far, and I hope you can too. I'm too damn nosy...... It's like I got to know what's going to happen tomorrow. Maybe I'm a sucker for pain. (who knows) I recently read where a soul that goes through many trials and tribulations, becomes a beautiful person. It makes us wiser and stronger. Great write, sis. *hugs you tight*

Also, I see you have lost none of your talent!!
The emotional you washes through this piece so deeply, so completly. I am sorry for your pain. I would do what I could to ease it....but this....ahhhh this....wonderful!! |

This is sad and yet quite beautiful, in time all will be different but for the brilliance and the
intriguing way you have with the spoken word. lovely as always Phill, you are truly a
gifted artist in every scence of the word and

Phil, I love the sea, and, in a sense, I feel like I own it. With that said, I approve of you using it! This was beautiful in it's sorrow. I love your choice of words, it really flows well.

Sad? yes. Yet magnificent, cause it's you at
your best, with all of your artistry and skilled
craftsmanship, once again i walk away in
awe and contentment that i visited your page
