Tonight, I see life in a new light
Slow it down, Take it in
Breathe in the life that's yours
Perfect moments as perfect can be
Anything more is a step from reality
As close to peace as peace could be

Too far to reach
But pierces the soul
Fix your eyes to the sky
Watch it shine on the world below
Illuminate what life could be

Moonlight peaking through
Shines down on the best of us
The rest of us sleep the night away
Unlike those who wait for these moments
Who stay awake and fight the pain
With ease of heart
The faint can say

Under a checkerboard sky
Tonight, I see life in a new light
Slow it down, Take it in
Breathe in the life that's yours
Perfect moments as perfect can be
Anything more is a step from reality
As close to peace as peace could be

Too far to reach

I adored the peaceful nature of this write. I find that taking in all the beauty around us is the best healer.You captured that perfectly in this write. Detail and images, flow and style delightful

wow, this was a good one.
I've noticed that a few of yours automatically create an image in my head. awesome.
