I know what you mean, many times these people are just so insecured and unable to express it correctly. So they lie in an attempt to obtain the attention that they want. Your poem accurately potrays the truth!

cheers,

Ooh very good. I love this. I know exactly where this comes from. Theres a girl who I know that is exactly like this, I hate it, people need to stop throwing pity parties like that so often.

I know exactly how it is. What's even worse than a pity party for one is when you get a few of these "oh poor me" people together... every life experience turns into a near-death occurence. Why can't they just be glad that they aren't the people they pretend to be?

OOOooo This is a write with some teeth. I loved it Jen. I have met someone like this (well more than one person, but this "one" just happens to stick out in my memory) It is a sad thing when you lie and try to capture someone else's emotions just because of an attention seeking device. It is despicable to the person they do this too. It is even more tragic they do it to themselves...what a sorry existence.
Good write as always.
Peace and hugs,
Laura

Most just do it for attnetion....because, they have NO friends.! They hide to find ppl and then they actually cant. Sometimes its sad.but its wrong. Great write towards ones who know they are wrong.

*applauds*

hear! hear!

Wow Jenni! This was exceptional! Very powerful in thought
and dead on, in my opinion. It's sad (very sad indeed) that there
exists those that would prey on the good nature and gentle
hearts of the compassionate, all in an attempt just to be
"noticed". I hate emotional blackmailers !!

Bravo poet!! A job VERY well done!

I think some of these people pretend to be in hardship just to belong. Perhaps they feel quilty having life so easy compared to some of their friends. It is sad however to be on the recieving end. I once had a lawyer moaning to me because he had to pay $40,000 in taxes. I told him to stop whining that was more than I had made that year.A great piece here my friend you got us all thinking and agreeing!!!
