Of cool assurance
Brushes the tips of the leaves

And they, who do not stray
From their tree hold
Firm in nature’s resolve

A road; bent and narrow
Winds to the disillusion
Of its mountain path

And the road, not content
With its course meanders still
Into oblivion

Who is to say the path ends there?
The mountain does not
In its quiet apathy

Who is to say the path ends there?
The trees do not
In their tranquil carelessness

They mark the point
Of all creation’s thought of
The horizon where the road
Falls

I love free verse. Words don't seem to be so confined. (not that I don't love other styles of poetry as well). You brought many beautiful images to light here. Well done.
Peace, Laura

not bad, i see tinges of religion, mourning and sorrow if not confusion in there, it's very busy in it's understatment. Though i do prefer a stronger rythm a flow. But keep trying and find what you're looking for
