lullabyed... by the telephone... as that continually rang ....
Thinking, I should really jump up and answer NOW that call
But simply just remained lying there doing, nothing atall ....

My mind it did wander, as it usually does
But it wanders quite slowly, making no fuss
I thought about my family, I thought about my friends
I thought of oh so many things.... the list it never ends.

I thought of the things I have to do within my day,
The list I have made mentally and in a methodical way
The housework to do, and the ironing AGAIN
Sort out the kittens and clean out their pen

Feed them and water them, give them the affection
So they in turn, show love to us, of me a nice reflection
Feed the pigeons I've inherited, of which there now are three
And watch them devour the food I've left, as they swoop down from their tree

Then leave some for the magpies, a new family of four
Mother and a Father and two babies they adore
Watch the mother tell them off, when indeed they try to stray
As she pecks and tells warns them angrily " Cat will get you one of these days"

Now we have a squirell too all fluffy cute and grey
I feed him all the nuts we have, the ones left from Christmas Day
He takes them gently and buries them .. deep deep into the ground
He hides them all from others there, so they, cannot be found

And finally my Robin's back, Remember the one of which I wrote?
A simple little rhyme to him, was more a little note....
I wonder has he babies yet? his wife at home on nest?
I love my little Robin friend, I love my Robin best!

I sigh and finish all to do, and time to sit relax
So I jump onto my laptop and type out all the facts
I share my day with some of you, those that choose to read atall
And then I think ok all done... Now time to have a BALL!!
