what would they say?
would they tell tales of loves
and the games we would play

or would they talk of sad times
the hurt and the tears
all the little fights
the yelling and the fears

what happend to the "I love you's"
the "do's" not the "don'ts"
what happend to yes I will kiss you
or the hugs, no I won't

what happend to sleeping
all day until noon
would they say that you loved me
or that we lost way to soon

maybe these walls can talk
but they can only speak of happiness
they would tell us of our smiles
and not burdon us with the rest

If they can only speak of happiness
and when love is at its peak
maybe that's why these walls will never talk
cuz i've never heard them speak

I think this is one of the better "on the verge" pieces I have read in quite some time. I love the idea of looking for affirmation in your surroundings when coming upon a problem. Simply, the fact is humanity seems to pay more attention to the problems than the good stuff. If walls could indeed talk I believe they would mostly be astonished by beauty. Think of how humanity looks at walls. Either our surroundings are beautiful or they are not.

You never hear someone say "Wow that sunset over the ocean is beautiful but that cloud really messes it up." No, it's either beautiful or it is not. We look our surroundings simplistically why can't we look unto each other like that. Either it is love or it is not. And if it is love, than a cloud in the way doesn't stop it!

A wonderful, amazing, and most brilliant use of abstract thought on a simple idea you achieved a certain magnificence in this work. Overall this is poetry, this is art, this is wonderful!

BRAVO!
