Array ( [sid] => 13409 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Reconciliation [time] => 2003-02-27 03:00:00 [hometext] => What do you do when you've exhausted all hopes of agreeing with someone dear to you?
You accept them as they are and reconcile. [bodytext] => Yes!... I am me... and you are you!

It helps to accept that phrase as true
As our differences often confuse us two.
For long we've perceived
To know the other clear through,
Now we've come to find that, both,
True and untrue,
As, in vain, we seek the other think
As we do.
For once we felt as two spirits of kind,'
As our thoughts often came
As if of one mind,
Our times together were as good
As you'd find.
Then destiny's winds
Blew us each a new wind...
Into different experiences,..
Our directions to bend,....
And changed our concepts,methods, ...
To a different end.
If we never quite grasp
The full essence of the other,
Even though we talk, listen,
And touch one another,
We may start to wonder,
'Do our differences matter?'
We do have interests in common;
Is that not true?...
Could you?...
Would you?.....
Accept me as I am?...
If I accept you?
I can just be me...
And you can
Just be you.

Thanks, mckayla. Reconciliation means more to me than when I wrote it... when someone else enjoys its value, too. God bless youl
