Ben [time] => 2007-05-03 10:23:59 [hometext] => A poem dedicated to a segment of the female population i call angels in white and there counterparts of the male gender, my wife and daughter are also one, i'm speaking about nurses, aka RN's endearingly known as care takers. Ben [bodytext] =>

In my opinon i beleive there the ones
who should be getting 20 millon a year
not atlethes or movie stars.

You think you know pain

well maybey you do but this ain't about

a heart broken in two, yet it is about love of a certain kind

the most loving of humans in this life you'll

find.

Women and men both young and old

the skills they posess are worth more than

gold,

within quiet walls

amidst silent halls easing the suffering

of lives untold.

Angels in white

knowing only to well

the tears and the pain that can put us through

hell,

the job that they do you won't hear on the new's

in fact very few people could walk in there

shoes.

No there names won't sell sneakers

and there lives go unseen unlike those fools

on a movie

screen,

they don't run the bases or catch any ball

yet those angels in white are always on

call.

To the sick and the hurting they answer there plea

they give of themselves unconditionally, endlessly working

for me and you doing jobs i doubt movie stars would

do.

Yet the pays they recieve are a tottal disgrace

compare to some athlete stealing a base,

or the make up on paris hiltons face

guess everything has it's

place.

Next time your in pain

just think of this poem no here's something better yet,

if an angel in white took sick tonight think you could save them from

death?

Ben

As the nurse passing the floors in my duty shoes...thank you Ben. I have often wished that the pay would one day reflect our work and our value to human comfort. I have been in my field for 37 years and seen it passed that we can not strike or protest too much.
Most of us actually have to work 2 jobs to be financially able to support our families. Bless you for noticing.
