Array ( [sid] => 133891 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Carpe Diem [time] => 2007-04-28 04:15:50 [hometext] => this poem is talking about how short life is, grab on to the tail and ride it for all it's worth, because you never know when it will end. i've had many people close to me who died much younger than i felt they should have. 7 years old, 15, 16, 33 years. [bodytext] => I bid thee all
A cheerful greeting,
And a solemn farewell....
For even as I begin to see the world,
And speak these words,
I realize
That my time runs thin.
No sooner than it begins, does it end,
And so I shall seize it now,
Today is my day,
Carpe diem
As the Grecians say.
I give you an analogy,
If time is a field,
Mine is but a meager blade of bluegrass
Dancing on the wind.
Unimportant, yet, unique.
And so now as the end draws near,
I reiterate my solemn goodbye,
And leave these words of advice:
Life is too short.
Look, mine's already passed by. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 386 [topic] => 21 [informant] => solmyr1404 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Reading your poem, I remind a Arcadic brazilian poet called Tomas Antonio Gonzaga
(who wrotes poems with this same theme), in spite do not telling calling.
I'd like to thank you for this singular poem.
