  • a lill intuition, a lill bit of rhyme
one heart broken in two, wonderin what to do
add some loneliness, one long sweet caress
some coffee and strife, one long painted life
hearts that know about delays, what can ya say?
write about your quest, write until you have no rest
    ~*~
with other poets you commune, we write of sun
we write of moon, we write all night till afternoon
deep within we know its right, afterwards we are a sight
poetic feelings ever flow, roots underneath begin to grow
and how to write when we c-h-o-k-e? oops-just awoke!
rememberin that sweet kiss, the one that sent us bliss...
    ~*~
the world can break us to our knees, yet still we gently write of trees!
daily life may bite our heels, but in the mind still turn the wheels
all pretty words and fairytales, the reader decifers what is real
a poets soul will never fade, no matter who or what the blade
we ponder how truelove was made, inside our dreams these thoughts invade
written whilst inside we are dying, for another, we write about smiling
    ~*~
lonely stars reaching for sun, impossible and ne'er ever done,
we write in all kinds of weather, will- till birds fly out of their feathers
sometimes we need just close our eyes, to see the many butterflies
from poetry we will never part, fore there it lives within our hearts
deep inside we hold our sorrows, maybe write them off tomorrow
a poets life is just a dream, a poets mind an uphill stream
    ~*~
rub away the sleep today, muttering again of a brand new way
writing until the end of time, till the sun blows up and words dont rhyme
we try to explain what we have withstood, write of evil, write of good
we sit in limbo as a bird without song, then an idea comes along
we spend long hours into dark nights, by and betwix candlelight
poetry takes us in different directions, all upon reflection
    ~*~
shall we venture happy futile chance? romance? ahhh....for love-
    we follow to the ends of earth! {although some loves have little worth}
back oncemore to that sweet candykiss, we dreamers like to reminisce,
for writers seemingly have no control, when softly touched upon the soul
way far beyond tears past the pain, pen where the sunshine leaves the rain
our heart it longs and endless seeks, one tender echo which does bespeak
    ~*~
oft times love darkly left our world, we become unfurled
the heart no love to call its own, it does us no kindness to bemoan,
yet still we go to solitudes requiem, no more love words gracing dreams
off to that black place musty indeed, alone and cold thus poem planted seed
then lookout for we know the lies, we know what lives behind their eyes
O let the poor heart go out to sea, no love for it, no cup of tea!
    ~*~
as morning glories bloom alongside moonflowers, we are upallhours
inch by inch poems weave and climb, then leave behind melodious rhyme
we are all yearning souls, through which mighty words flow- we lay our
lives before you in written voice, what is seen is your own choice
alas remember: with shadows on spirit, some poet will hear it
in creative sensuous passion style and flow, i know

across your poetry, a peaceful zephyr may blow!

How well you have captured the heart and soul of each and every poet. Unique and wonderful are we all. Especially this master piece of work you so eloquently created.
I too bow with grace and repect in your honor.

nessa, what a thrilling and simply gorgeous piece of truth! You captured here within your
lines the very essence of poets and poetry. I found myself curling up inside your words and
found it very comfortable there indeed! Wow, and wow again!! Poets can be such a
complex but lovable group, yes? Tormented (and quite often self-inflicted), to the depths by
a passion that will not sleep! We grip life with two hard hands, pulling it close to embrace all
that it has to offer. The blood of life is our sustenance ... the breath, is our air. Your piece
strongly suggests all that we are and will ever be. Clever and potent hun! I adored this
    line...

"for writers seemingly have no control, when softly touched upon the soul"

Briliant, poet!! I SO loved this one, nessa. Immensely ~

This poem is breathtaking, so passionate and so genuine, it feels as if the thoughts were racing out of your mind onto the page in a desperate plea to be acknowledged.
Your words are vivid and beautiful and you have such a wonderfully deep understanding of poets and poetry.
    I loved this write!
