Array ( [sid] => 133866 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Her [time] => 2007-04-27 12:41:08 [hometext] => This poem is dedicated to a very special person in my life. The poem is self explanatory, but still does not begin to express all of my gratitude for [bodytext] => I reach out, her hand is there,
breaking down my walls,
helping me because she cares.
Showing me a selfless way to give-
program in action and practice-
this is how she lives.
I want what she has so I continue to work;
following these suggestions,
not easy but worth the effort.
For if I receive a piece of what she has,
I will consider myself blessed.
She has been my Wounded Healer,
my spiritual mentor, and has shown me my GOD.
She lets me make my own mistakes,
helping me back on this path, guiding me, showing me the way.
Showing me how to find the solution on my own,
this is one way she helps me grow.
She’s listened to my heartbreak, let me cry in her ear;
Knows my darkest secrets and my deepest fears.
Yet she does not look down on me, because we are the same;
She’s just had longer to practice and let’s me know it’s okay.
It’s okay to be imperfect, even she’s not a saint.
She’s a human being, still working at this, just as I;
She continues to show me how she does it-
lives this way of life.
I am so grateful for this woman
and how she’s passing it on-
Helping me change and grow,
just as she was helped by someone.
I don’t know much, but there’s one thing I know for sure-
I am truly grateful and blessed
to be walking this journey with her.
