I glimpse you in a movement,
a gesture firm and clear
the scent of your perfume
that signals you are near
your laughter, like the resonance
of a crystal mountain stream,
a shadow of impermanence
that lingers like a dream

I draw you in their casing,
and make you only mine
and keep their spirits guessing
what I’ll offer in good time
then I dress them in your features,
and make them change their ways,
but they’ll never be as you were
in those far flung, better days. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 200 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Spike [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 25 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

The picture is very sad and haunting. Visions of one's "realness", I see being taken away. Very intriguing write....a great read.
Peace,
Laura

I want to comment, S, but that picture is just too damn frightening!!!!

*runs away in fright*

*regains composure and returns*

okay .. ahem

moving on? or letting go? hmmmm .. seems like this piece
might be about a little of both. Your second stanza is haunting,
(though I know not if that was your intent). It just scares me to
a point that I'm unwilling to admit as of yet.

Accepting our fates .. our lots .. our "circumstance", is a hard
thing to do sometimes ... but still it is much like accepting ourselves
methinks.

Wow. Very thought-provoking Spike. A strong write indeed!
