Array ( [sid] => 13355 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Feeling the Depths [time] => 2003-02-26 12:20:00 [hometext] => How deep does true love go, what does it look like. With our finite minds we can only comprehend the surface of it but that shouldn't keep us from feeling the depth of it. To find out how deep love goes try asking the one who created it. [bodytext] => the dark sea shimmers
pale sand glows
in the moon’s soft beam.
little white capped swells
flow rhythmically toward the shore.
my shirt flutters in the gentle wind.
a multitude of diamonds
speckle the crisp sky.
not even a breath of a cloud
blurs the spectacle.

so tiny
so insignificant
this planet
compared to the whole of the vast universe.
and here I sit
on this tiny pebble
staring out over a magnificent ocean,
seeing only surface reflections
unable to comprehend
even the few wonders
that lie beneath this tiny rippling blanket.

______________________
I am a sick and selfish race.
so caught up
in my own superiority.
I stand alone
on these beautiful shores
staring out over Your ocean
my hands raised
shouting…

THIS IS MY UNIVERSE…
…I AM GOD…
______________________

so here I sit
in the pale sand
shrinking away
from the moon’s soft beam.
my head in my hands
wondering
unable to comprehend why
You still love me.
