yet here I remain
waiting
waiting for directions...
seems I've been sleeping
dreaming of
the good ol days,
I was standing still
not noticing
everyone had danced away.

I stop
and I pause
cause
I hear no noise.

No one seems to feel me at all
they only laugh and figure out ways
they could make me crawl,
I searched for love
but confusion was all that I got
so I stopped caring
and the flow
of mass production was blocked.
It's a mystery
but the confusion I need
because without it
there is no one
there is only me.

Where did everyone go
what was I thinking
when I told them
to go away?
I don't know
but I know
if they come back
I'm gonna tell them
that I was wrong.

Here I am in silence
listening
with my eyes
cause I
hear no noise,
and I
stop and pause... [comments] => 10 [counter] => 315 [topic] => 43 [informant] => unknown_utopia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 30 [ratings] => 6 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I love this piece. When I was in my 20's I loved nothing better than to sit in the bus depot and watch people....I am totally consumed by watching people...they teach me so much...this piece brought me back to those years..and yet I hear you in the silence..of having people about you...when they are gone..your thoughts return to you and then it is just you...alone is sometimes scary...somehow we need them there.
My thoughts provoked by this piece...and my thanks..for the provocation. Wonderful!

A sad and thought provoking write you have here. Sometimes we just want to be left alone, we don't want to hear anything, we don't want to do anything, we want everything to go away, but this all leads to lonliness, emptiness and silence. We need people around us my friend. Sometimes they even help us without us even noticing. It's a comfort knowing that they are there regardless of if we need them or not. I'm sorry I have rambled on so long my friend.
Very well penned. Wishing you much brighter days ahead~
*warm hugs*

sometimes i wish id stop and paused before reacting, but no point dwelling on my rights and wrongs, past is gone present is here future is unknown.

Awesome write, very visual, words with many meanings no matter how its looked at each new read awakens more passions and thoughts, you have a powerfully emotional and raw talent for awakening feelings with your words.

Deep.. This was beautifully written with sadness and confusion intertwining with the words.. Very well expressed and written..

Take care
