Trapped in a room with neutral colors
Strapped down to a tacky couch

Forced to spill inner thoughts
Dreams and ideas written in a judge-mental notebook

Pamphlets frightening you with diagnoses
Papers stuffing pills down your throat

Windows showing freedom and life are
Closed and blinded

Seconds seem to pass as hours
The clock torturing you

How do you feel about that?

Time consumes your body
But your mind still races

Reading over the answers you plan to give
Protecting your true self

Longing for disruption in
This placid experience

Dust particle slowly makes its way towards you
Teasing you with direction un-catch-able it whispers in your ear

It is surreal and unnerving the uselessness you feel
The room paralyzes you into an uncontrollable state

The then clock strikes 5

An interesting piece which captures your moments and thoughts during this event of helplessness. Well done

i held my breath the whole poem and breathed out at the end, a sigh of relief...which is exactly how it affected me, like i was escaping something... {not your poem!}
