I have a huge hippo
she is just the best
I won the sweet darling
in a hollering contest.

Her name is July
cause that's the month she was born
My crazy hippo
she loves to eat corn.

I'm so glad I have her
she really is quite neat
the only problem is...
finding shoes for her feet.

Yes, I can see it in a children's book. It sure made me smile. Have you done one for each animal? That would be something to buy for my great grandchildren.

I can help you here...if you need shoes for your hippo have you tried...shoes4hooves.com? (ok i'll shut up!) bet there is a site called that though.

Beautiful write Doris an enjoyable read i'm sure children of all ages will appreciate this one.
