SWEET MASTER

Contributed by positivelypurple on Wednesday, 11th April 2007 @ 09:42:06 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Seething searching running circles in my soul
Unexpected turn and loss of control
Out of whack and out of time
Wondering when I’ll hit the next grind
Impossible heart: look what you do to me
Jumping head first from a glorious tree
Spinning and falling to the inevitable earth
Peeling my soul from the unforgiving turf
Bouncing back swiftly to the sky’s end
Shooting beyond the universal bend
Nicking a star and sliding down the moon
All before the second hand touches noon
The rooster has yet to yell wake
And the sun has yet the opportunity to bake
But oh that smile holds powers of fate
And oh so quickly have I swallowed the bait
Mr. Fisherman let me live in a bowl
Please don’t consume me or let me swing from your pole
I’m a fragile little fish and would love to be your pet
Treat me kindly and live without regret
For some previous owners have damaged my core
Sweet master just know you’re the one I adore.
