[bodytext] => The sun came out today.
It tanned my skin, And dried my tears away, That I had been shedding, For very many days. Lifting up my spirit, To cheer me along the way. That I may live for love, If love will come to stay. I can now sing old love songs, Even while I work or play. It lights my path before me, And I just have to say, I’m thankful that the sun came out today. A fresh cool breeze Is caressing across my skin. It tingles as it touches, And makes me smile within. As clouds float by where birds do fly, Unfurling wings as sails. As gators groan and swim alone, The deer scurry on backwood trails. There is no reason to hide today, No reason to feel I’m doomed. The sun came out and lifted me up, To take away my gloom. The sun is the sparkle in your eyes, The radiance of you smile. The warmth within your tender heart, That makes my life worthwhile!
