Can you see the little bird locked in the cage?
Her whole lives story written on an empty page
Telling of everything she never got to see
Remembering everything she never got to be
Just locked in the cage as the world passes by
Poor little bird she never even got to learn how to fly
She never got to taste the joy that freedom brings
She never got to hear what she sounds like when she sings
The little bird never had a chance to find her voice
Never got to think for herself, or make a simple choice
Just locked in a cage her only friends are each iron bar
That keeps her tied, from flying to the wishing star
Dreaming always of the day the bars would break
Being able to at last decide, this is a risk I’m willing to take
But a dream is all that it will every be
This little bird will always be locked in her misery
Watching life pass from inside her little prison cell
Left to die with her dreams she never got to tell

The Bird can be set free ... If the bird wants to be... But sometimes we get so stuck in what we cant do that we forget about what we can... The Bird allows itself to imprisoned maybe for fear of change.... Good Write |
