Try to take my soul
Try to make me lose my mind.

Well a no good woman, baby,
Say she’ll make me a happy man.
Say she’ll break me of my foolish pride.

And I said a no good woman,
Gonna work me ‘til I blee-eed,
Gonna make me lay down my life.

Yeah a no good woman,
Say she’ll run away
Say she gonna be my wife.

And out of all the many things I know,
A no good woman you just can’t take home
And if my mama taught me one thing best,
A no good woman never pass the test.
But out of all the women that I know,
Yeah, I like the no good women all the best.

And a no good woman
Try to take my voice
Try to make me sing no words

Yeah, a no good woman, baby,
Drink her rye mash in the barn
Cryin’ “Lonely has no cure”.

Well a no good woman
Cookin’ bacon ‘til it’s dark,
Try to take the world by storm.

And a no good woman,
On top of everything,
Really knows how to keep a grown man warm.

And out of all the many things I know,
A no good woman you just can’t take home
And if my mama taught me one thing best,
A no good woman never pass the test.
But out of all the women that I know,
Yeah, I like the no good women all the best.

I really liked this, it made me laugh and think that, well, you can say the same about men really can't you?! It often seems that the "no good" men are the more devilishly attractive. I did like the rhythm and the style of writing, it gave the poem a strong atmosphere.

I like this. Because I know a lot of no good women (I just am not one of them), but I liked the lyrics, it was really nice, and somewhat comforting after your comments. Thank you.

I can hear this being sung and it has a mystical unerstanding of men mentality legend to it. Men just seem to want that no good women.A good write that popped a tune in my head that is quite catchy.
