Alone, in the soft sand,
Thinking of you
I turn around to see if you were there,
I only see,two footprints,
Just two footprints following,
Following quietly,
My lonely footprints,
I remember
Remember four footprints following,
You standing in one,
And I the other,
Us together
We loved each other dear,
We use to listen,
Listen together,
Of the clapping waves,
Sprinting towards us,
Then falling away, quietly
The bright blazing orange,
of the sun,
Burning down westward,
The moon overhead,
Catching its orange glow.
Laughter, our laughter,
The clapping waves, and our laughter together,
Footprints of our past following,
In the smooth sand,
Just ahead,
Waiting, waiting for our future,
Hand in hand,
Walking, laughing, loving,
Yes, loving, together,
Watching the sun fall asleep,
And the stars awakening above
The past,
Our footprints together,
Washed away by clapping waves,
Only my footprints now,
Alone, All- alone,
Searching,
Alone, alone,
The smooth sandy beach,
Lonely footprints, gone,
Only the sound,
Of clapping waves,
Falling away, quietly,
Quietly, yes quietly. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 242 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Wesley_Dale_Willis [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

I really liked this one. It reminds me of walking along the beach at night alone and thinking of love from my past.
