Array ( [sid] => 132935 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Hurt [time] => 2007-03-21 17:03:37 [hometext] => something i wrote when i got fed up with whats been happening with my gf and me and didnt know how else to express it [bodytext] => She is my one and only
My love and my friend
I watch her cry mournfully
She has part of her missing I cannot mend

She has no real other friend
However not by choice
This matter causes her emotions to bend
In reality she has no voice.

She is hurting, no knowing what to do
The words are eating her alive
The grip of her life in her hands is sliding right through
As the words are said, the pain comes alive

She comes to me acting like nothing is wrong
However I can see right through her façade
She does her best to keep strong
And all I can do is prey to god

Bell rings forcing us to separate
We share a final kiss until tomorrow
She must go home where she is an animal in a crate
Unable to do anything and trying to hold in the sorrow

I go home not knowing what she is doing
Not knowing if she is hurt
The future I begin viewing
And prey that I get though it without ending in the dirt

For even in the dirt,
The hurt stays

This was so sad. Heartfelt too. I wonder if that is how I make my boyfriend feel. This was very well expressed and your love and your care was shown through this. It is hard to help someone go through things that they themselves might not want to face or don't know how to face. It is hard to stay strong for them though you feel that if you don't you have failed them. Sometimes people feel like they have to stay strong and face it by themselves but this is not always the case that works for everyone. I hope that she will let you in the best she can and try to help you understand what she is going through. This was a good poem and I hope things will get better for you and your girlfriend.

Take care
Christina
