[bodytext] => She sits alone in the darkness, Every so often there is a split second of light, She is being held captive This girl she does not realize, She does not see what is really happening, Is she too naïve? What she does not know, The only thing keeping her captive, Is herself No one told her there was no way out, She just sat there in the silence and assumed, She is keeping herself prisoner to her thoughts, All she has to do to escape, Is go to the light, Yet she cowers in the darkness, Oh, the ignorance of fear, People always assume the worst What they don’t realize is sometimes They are being tested To see if they will allow themselves To be free The funny thing is they usually Let themselves stay trapped Is this out of fear? Or, is this because they want to be saved?
