O! The heartless callous warriors,
The children of the crowning age,
You do not see the havoc,
For you stand at the distant spot,
More than two thousand miles away,
Planning against the weaponless;
But your lacerating missiles and shells,
Amiss not the targets,
They hail down on us smashing,
Blowing up the houses,
And thatched cottages with their contents,
Let, allow me bury, put in the ground,
My infant grandson that lay motionless,
In the cradle, all shredded, torn up,
Still gripping tight in his hand,
A baby doll with blue eyes and rosy cheeks,
Sprinkled with blood too.

Such sadness - loss of any life is a crime ...

What a world of destruction we live in today

this poem touched my heart

My friend this is the depth of sadness. I felt each word and vividly displayed moment.
Making my heart ache. I wish for peace and love in a world filled with war and terror.

I also hope this was not your baby grandson you were speaking of in this poem.

much love and warm thoughts from across the sea.

Michelle

My tears run on this a great injustice to the innocent and helpless. If my tears could bring back the lost caught in a senseless war I would cry until each soul of innocense came back to being....and in my heart are the words..forgive them for they know not what they do. Peace my friend and may the light of protection shelter you from the pain and destruction that exists.ND

inciting replies
from all in dismay.

All cowards silent,
are with triple A.

American Attacks
On Arabs this day;

are the AAA cowards,
who won't weep, but yell Hooray.

Reminds me of Uncle SAMs'
Onomatopoeia
