Array ( [sid] => 132748 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Mummy don't leave me [time] => 2007-03-15 17:14:55 [hometext] => Sometimes Mother's forget their children's needs .... finances can never replace the time lost between a Mother and her child [bodytext] => She wakes well before 5am to wash and dress herself for work
Her child lays sleeping tight in bed, in sleep the demons lurk
The child wakes, as soon as she hears her Mother's step upon the stair
And wakes in tears to find her loving Mother isn't there
"Mummy please don't leave me "

The Mother makes the breakfast, choccie krispies, toast, an milk
Her child runs down the stairs to hug and hold her hands of silk ..
She wont let go because she fears her Mother will leave her alone
The only way she can communicate will be thru Mummy's phone ...
" Mummy please dont leave me "

Shes's norty knocks her milk to the floor and spills her breakfast too
Her Mother flustered angry cross, not knowing what to do
She has little time to clean such mess, to work she has to go
This NORTY little girl of hers, such bad behaviour to show
"Mummy Please dont leave me "

Mummy gets so angry now, infuriated very cross
She hasn't time to tend to things the time and money loss
She HAS to go to work and leave her precious child at home
It's not like she's with strangers, or worse left at home alone
"MUMMY PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME"

She hangs onto her mothers side, her arm, her leg, her waist
Her Mother's Nannie pulls her hard and fast and to another room with haste
Nannie sits her down on chair and tells her not to cry
Her Mother Angry, flusterd, cross cannot understand just why
"MUMMY!!!!!.......PLEASE!!!.... DON'T LEAVE ME!!!!!.....

Mother rushes out the door so her child won't be upset
If she rushes away and off to work her child will no longer fret
Once out of sight her child will calm and play and have much fun
She will soon forget her tears of woe and how she wants her MUM
"MUMMY",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, "PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE.........
Her cries go unheard, as if she is mute, her Mother cannot hear
It seems her Mother blind aswell can't even see the tear ....
She cannot feel the pain either her baby feels inside.....
She runs away from her beautiful child, ignores the tears that are cried
"Mummy,,, mummy...mummy...

Will she ever realise the trauma, the upset and the pain
Because her work took over, Only to lose now no gain
One cannot replace security, or a Mother's love for child
That gentle touch and sweet embrace of a mother's oh so mild
"Mummy ........"

When Mother returns from her working day, back to her child at home
She chatted, laughed and talked to her upon her telephone...
All is well, and shes calm and sweet, You see she did not miss....
It's all forgotton, all is well. with cuddles and a Mother's kiss....
" Mummy.... why did you leave me? ..............why? why? why?

Or is it?

How sad and yet lovely, we must do what we must and one day she'll realize it's a sacrifice she herself may have to also make one day for her child. a beautiful and quite touching work i might add. Very emotianly compelling to read.
