[bodytext] => On the day you were born my heart was bursting with love,
I said a little prayer and I thanked the lord above.
I cried as you wrapped your tiny hand around mine,
I knew no greater joy in this world I would ever find.
I have a little person now that I can help to grow,
I can't wait to sit with you and teach you all the things you need to know.
I'll try my best to give you everything you need,
There's nothing I won't do for you because you'll always be a part of me,
I hope one day when your older my dear little one ,
You'll understand the unconditional love I have for you because I am your

Thank-you for your comment Christina. I'm not sure if any of my poems are good, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

To speak so lovingly shows a deep compassion within your soul. I am touched and hope to read more of your work.
