Love was literally sailing across the air.

Yet, I drive home with my eyes in tears.

Next, I find myself embracing her in my arms under the stars.

I seem to like the idea of ‘us’, and how she makes me feel.

Yet, as she stares at me it is clear she is on earth, and I’m stuck somewhere on mars.

In the summer she will leave, and I’m wondering if she will return?

And the gap between us seems to remain.

And there are doubts if that love will continue to burn.

Because these demons have still not returned my soul.

And I still love chasing after empty goals.

Will it ever change, will I ever allow myself to change…I might.

Hush, listen to the promises made. Where are they coming from?

See the two lovers sitting close on the hill, exchanging whispers in the night.
